Is there a card processing fee on top?

Not on marketplace orders. DoorDash says card processing is covered by the commission. Orders through DoorDash's own online ordering product are different and carry a processing fee. A DoorDash tablet is $6 a week after the trial if you use one.

Why most restaurants raise their DoorDash prices

Many owners mark up menu prices on the app to cover the commission. The customer pays more, orders less often, and still thinks of DoorDash as the place they order from, not the restaurant.

How restaurants pay DoorDash less without leaving it

The common move is to keep DoorDash for new customers and move regulars to direct ordering, where there is no marketplace commission. Regulars are the people who already know you, so they are the easiest to switch. A card in every delivery bag with an offer for ordering direct next time is one of the simplest ways to do it.
