The DoorDash tax calculator

Put in three numbers from your tablet and see what the delivery apps cost you in a year. You don't need to sign up.

Not sure? Start from a typical
$0
a year to DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub, before their fees on top
$0every month
$0per order, gone
$0a year lost on regulars, if half of those orders are people who already know you
0 hrsof a $15/hr cook, every week, paid to an app instead

Paying the apps for brand new customers can make sense, since that's how a lot of people find you. Paying up to 30% on your regulars is harder to justify. They already know your food and would order from you directly if it were easy.

What usually gets regulars to switch is a free item on their first direct order, then a stamp card so they keep coming back.

Where Nomback comes in. We build independent restaurants their own ordering and loyalty app on the App Store and Google Play. It's $99 a month and $399 setup, with no commission on orders. Anthony's Pizzeria in Allentown uses it now, see their app. See what you get or try the demo.

Math: orders × ticket × commission. Tiers are DoorDash's published marketplace rates; Uber Eats and Grubhub are within a point or two. Service fees, tablet fees and ad spend are not included, so the real number is higher.
