How Anthony's Pizzeria does it

Anthony's Pizzeria in Allentown runs its own app built by Nomback (App Store). Every DoorDash bag gets a card: download the app, get a free slice. In the app, every 5 stamps earns a free pizza. When a weeknight is slow, the shop sends a push deal to everyone who has the app.

It also sells three memberships in the app: the Slice Club at $9.99 a month for a slice every day, the Pizza Pass at $21.99 for a large pizza and 6 wings a month, and The Famiglia at $24.99 for two large pizzas and 12 wings a month.

Why pizzerias fit an app so well

Pizza customers reorder. The same family gets the same large pie on Friday, so the app's saved order and stamp card do a lot of work. The chains know it: Domino's took more than 85% of its 2025 U.S. retail sales through digital channels (Domino's).

Independents are already online. In Pizza Today's 2025 industry report, over 78% of pizzeria operators took online orders, nearly 44% of those got 28% or more of sales online, and over 53% didn't use third-party delivery. Loyalty ranked second among marketing strategies operators called effective (Pizza Today).
