Add an order button to the website you already have

You don't need a new website to take commission-free orders. One line of code adds an "Order online" button to the site you have now, and it opens your Nomback ordering app in a window on top of your page. Customers never leave your site, the order goes to your register, and the stamp card and deals work the same as in the app. Try it: the green button in the corner of this page is the real thing.

The one line

Paste this before the closing </body> tag of your site, or in the "custom code" box of Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Weebly or WordPress. Change anthonys to the id we give you when your app goes live.

<script src="https://nomback.com/embed.js" data-nomback="anthonys"></script>
Works on any site. Nothing else on the page changes.

Until your app is live you can run it in demo mode, which is what this page does: data-name="Rosa's Pizza" instead of an id shows the demo app with your name on it.

Make your existing Order links open it

Most restaurant sites already have an "Order" button somewhere that goes to a third party. Point it at #order and it opens the window instead of leaving your site:

<a href="#order">Order online</a>

Or from any script: Nomback.open(). If you only want your own links and no floating button, add data-button="none".

Options

data-nombackYour restaurant id. Opens your live ordering app.
data-nameRestaurant name. Shown in the window title; runs the demo when there is no id yet.
data-colorButton color, like #b8382a. Match your sign.
data-labelButton text. Default "Order online".
data-positionleft or right corner. Default right.
data-urlUse a different ordering page instead of the app (any https link that allows framing).
data-buttonnone to hide the floating button and use your own links.

What customers see

Rosa's Pizza

Your website, exactly as it is today. Menu, hours, photos, the map.
Order online

On a phone the order window fills the screen. On a computer it opens as a phone-sized window in the middle of the page. Close it and they are back on your site where they left off.

It is the same app your regulars have on their phone, so their stamps, saved orders and the free item on their first order carry over. Someone who found you on Google and orders from your site this week is the same person who downloads the app next month.

Why keep the app at all

The button on your site catches people who are already looking at you. The app is what brings them back. A push notification on a slow Tuesday and a stamp card on the home screen are the two things a website can't do, and they are the reason regulars stop drifting back to DoorDash. Most restaurants run both: the site button for first orders, the app for the fifth.

FAQ

Does it slow my site down? No. The script is 4 KB and the app only loads when someone taps the button.

Does it work on Wix / Squarespace / GoDaddy / WordPress? Yes. Any of them let you add a line of code to the whole site. If yours doesn't, send us the login and we add it.

Where do the orders go? Same place as app orders: your tablet, your printer, or straight onto your Clover. How the Clover connection works.

Can I just get this without the app? The button is part of the app plan, $99 a month. The website plan is for restaurants that want us to build the whole site.

For web designers and agencies

If you build restaurant sites, this is a one-line add that gives your client commission-free ordering without you building a cart. Business partners get paid for each restaurant that goes live.

Already have a website? Keep it. The order button goes on it in one line and opens your Nomback app on top of the page. $99 a month, no commission. Start my app or try the demo first.
