Slice fees for pizzerias in 2026: what the shop pays per order

Slice charges a pizzeria $39 a month plus $3.00 per online order on its "online orders only" plan, or $99 a month plus $2.00 per online or phone order on its full plan, which adds a POS, phone ordering and a $1,000 one-time setup. Both charge 2.9% + 30 cents card processing, and neither charges the per-order fee on orders under $10. At 600 orders a month that is $1,839 on the cheaper plan or $1,299 on the full plan before processing. Slice's old pricing was a flat $2.25 per order with no monthly fee; the monthly plans replaced it. Slice also charges your customers a service fee in its app, the amount of which it does not publish.

What are Slice's plans and prices?

From Slice's pricing page, last updated October 19, 2026 (Slice pricing):

Online orders onlyOnline, in-store and phone
Monthly$39$99
Per order$3.00, card orders only$2.00 per online or phone order
Orders under $10No per-order feeNo per-order fee

HardwareOne tabletDual tablet display, stand, payment terminal, cash drawer, two printers, network kit
IncludesBranded website, online ordering, listing in the Slice app, loyalty marketingAll of that plus POS, phone ordering, kiosk eligibility ($59 a month), account manager

Both are month to month. The page carries "preferred pricing applies" footnotes without saying which lines they attach to, so confirm the quote you're given matches. Slice's older owners page still describes "per order pricing" with no monthly fee (Slice); that was the $2.25 structure, waived on orders under $10 from November 2020 (Business Wire).

How much does Slice cost at 300, 600 and 1,000 orders a month?

Slice's fees before card processing, which is the same 2.9% + 30 cents everywhere in this table:

Orders a monthSlice $39 + $3Slice $99 + $2DoorDash pickup (6% of $40)Flat $99 app
300$939$699$720$99
600$1,839$1,299$1,440$99
1,000$3,039$2,099$2,400$99

The full plan's $1,000 setup is on top, and so is the $59 kiosk if you add it. Per order, Slice's cheaper plan is $3.13 at 600 orders, close to DoorDash's 6% pickup commission on a $40 order and far below DoorDash's 25% delivery commission. It is the per-order structure that matters: the shop's cost rises with every order it brings in itself.

Does Slice charge customers a fee?

Yes. Slice's rewards terms exclude "the Service Fee" from the order subtotal that earns points, and its terms of service refer to "any Slice fees", but no amount is printed on Slice's pages (Slice Rewards). Customers see it at checkout. Slice says it adds nothing to menu prices, and the delivery fee and minimum are set by each shop. Slice Rewards itself is a consumer program: one point per order of $15 or more, eight points for a free large cheese pizza at a shop you've ordered from on Slice, points expiring after six months without an order.

Is Slice a marketplace or your own ordering?

Both, which is the trade-off. You get a branded ordering website, but the orders Slice is known for come through the Slice app, where your shop sits next to every other pizzeria in town and the customer's account, rewards and order history belong to Slice. That is worth paying for if it brings in people who have never heard of you. It is expensive for regulars who would have ordered from you anyway, because you pay $2 or $3 on each of their orders too, and their loyalty points work at any shop on Slice.

What are the alternatives to Slice for a pizza shop?

For a shop that mostly serves regulars, a flat-fee app of its own: Nomback is $99 a month and $399 to set up, no per-order fee beyond processing, with a stamp card that only works at your shop and push deals for slow nights (pricing). Square's free plan is the cheapest ordering website if you ring up on Square (Square fees). For reach, the marketplaces at 15% to 30% on delivery and 6% to 7% on pickup (DoorDash, Uber Eats). Many shops run two: a marketplace or Slice for new faces and their own app for the people who come every week. Full comparison on the pizza shop ordering page.

A pizzeria doing 600 orders a month at $25

Original Nomback calculation, October 2026, using an average $25 pizza order. Processing at 2.9% + 30 cents ($1.03 an order, $615 a month) applies to every row and is left out.

DoorDash Plus, delivery$0$6.25 (25%)$3,75025%

On a $25 order, Slice's $3 fee is 12% of the ticket, twice DoorDash's pickup rate. Pizza margins are thin, so put your real order count into the commission calculator before you sign anything.

Want your own app without the per-order math? Nomback is $99 a month and $399 to set up, no commission and no per-order fee, with a stamp card built in. Type your restaurant's name into the 10 second demo to see it.
